Monkee-Boy Does Its Part to Keep Austin Weird
The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festival has become part of Austin's molecular structure each spring. The event highlights the latest trends and brightest stars in the interactive, music and film industries – it's a reflection of our city's historical and deep appreciation for the creative class.
Okay, now, with all of that out of the way. Here at Monkee-Boy, we're big proponents of all things SXSW – we love it. That's why we send all of our full time employees to the SXSW Interactive Festival each year, well, and to keep up with our constantly changing industry.
It's also one of the reasons that we're sponsoring the Texas Music Magazine 2009 Reader Appreciation Party during SXSW Music Festival. On March 20, 2009, we'll be at Scholz Garten with some of our favorite partners and customers, supporting one of our favorite magazines and local music.
The tentative lineup:
- 12:30 Doors open
- 1-2 Brandon Jenkins
- 2-3 Sarah Jarosz
- 3-4 Gurf Morlix
- 4-5 Future Clouds & Radar

- 7-8 Shawn Sahm and Augie Meyers' Tex Mex Experience (a tribute to Doug Sahm)
