Our approach is simple — We do our best. We do what's right. We show people that we care. Come join us!
A true veteran of Austin's digital scene, Aaron's "digital street cred" dates back long before Y2K, where as the youngest member of Tivoli Systems' legendary team of web monkeys (hence the nickname "monkee-boy") Aaron single-handedly managed a 3000+ page internal website, 200+ international content providers, and even created the 2000 Summer Olympics website -- all while cheering "U.S.A!.. U.S.A!" Today, Aaron oversees Monkee-Boy's operations and strategy, focusing on cultivating an amazing corporate culture and long-lasting relationships with great companies.
Tree-hugging Internet Cowboy.
Though not originally from Texas, 23 years of Austin-living are reflected in Aaron's love for craft beer, live music, UT, purple martins and his gratuitous use of "y'all." He has enjoyed working with some of Austin's most loved brands as much as he has loved working with Fortune 500 clients like Sony, Intel, Gateway Computers, Yahoo!, Buy.com, AOL, and Corel. Now he leads a troop of kick-ass web experts and buys the bananas. Step up? Hell yes!
Lime in my ice tea. Music loud. 20 Chrome tabs open.
I may work for Monkee-Boy, but most days I feel like Google is my boss.
Joe built his first website in 1995, completed his first SEO campaign in 2000, and planned and executed his first integrated online lead generation campaign for a Global 100 company in 2001. Over the past 15 years, Joe has helped Monkee-Boy's clients sell everything from multi-million dollar enterprise software packages to $5 cigars. The ability to measure any interaction on a web site, and use that data to continuously improve online sales and marketing processes, makes Joe really happy.
Optimistic skeptic who wants to look on the bright side. Numbers first.
Joe grew up in Austin (arrived in 1970 at the age of four), briefly moved to the Midwest, the Deep South and then back to Austin to attend the University of Texas. He's been here ever since and now has a wonderful wife and three pretty cool kids.
For some reason, I can only text in complete sentences with proper grammar. I try to explain to my kids that I was a journalism major and used to be a magazine editor. They don't care.
I like both people and computers. I’m here to make sure everyone (and everything) plays nice together.
Emily is here to ensure that we deliver a great experience for our clients as we design and maintain their websites. She has a laser-sharp eye for detail and knows how to communicate with any level of stakeholder to advocate for the needs of the user. Before coming to Monkee-Boy, Emily managed digital projects for universities, non-profit organizations and corporate clients. She is dedicated to maintaining open lines of communication so that none of our partners have to worry about the status of their projects.
Former Classicist; Current Technology Nerd
After growing up in Chicago, Illinois, Emily fled winter and found her way to Texas where she attended Rice University in Houston to earn her BA in Classics and English. The Texas Capital was calling her name, so Emily moved to Austin to attain her MS in Information Studies at the University of Texas. After over a decade in the Lonestar State, Emily has finally converted from transplant to Texan.
I know more about YouTube personalities than most 15-year-olds.
The web has so many amazing things to offer you; just scroll down.
Born in Oklahoma, raised in North Texas, and drawn to Austin. A former superhero lured to the web in the early 2000’s who was lucky enough to catch the tail end of using <table>’s for layouts. Once a freelance web designer working with WordPress, turned Ruby on Rails developer, turned front-end developer, turned project manager, turned television commercial director, turned expert in all things memes. More often than not James can be found coding, reading comics, debating writing a new blog post, or gaming.
I tend to overuse #hashtags in places where they don't belong and love to use exactly 140 characters more than one should.
I like to bring new ideas to life and continue to excite and inspire our clients, all the while working to achieve all the goals that were originally set.

I’m always planning for the Zombie Apocalypse. (You never know which meal will be your last!)
Fast, stable, secure applications. This is what I love to do, even after 20+ years of professional programming experience.
Pete brings to Monkee-Boy two decades of experience in programming for the web. His extensive experience with programming and databases allows him the flexibility and knowledge to tailor database-backed solutions to client specifications. From content management systems to complex web software systems, his skills have proved a good match for the emerging needs of Monkee-Boy and its clients.
Drawn to Austin by graduate studies in psychology at UT Austin, Pete found his true calling during the explosion of the World Wide Web. Leaving academia for the promise of more interesting adventures in the world of computer programming, he embarked on a career that, though unexpected, would prove richly rewarding.
I hoard change because I can't stand carrying it around. I have probably close to 50 pounds of it stashed here and there.
I'm here to help after your project launches.
With a degree in English and many years of experience editing and proofreading, Jessica ensures that Monkee-Boy's websites maintain the high standard of quality our clients expect. She is responsible for site consistency across all devices and browsers, as well as monthly quality assurance benchmarking for our larger clients.
Detail-oriented lover of the outdoors.
Jessica grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to attend Marquette University. Milwaukee taught her to hate winter, so she moved to Austin when she graduated, and she hopes to never leave this amazing city.
One of my goals is to camp in every National Park in the United States, but I still have a long way to go.
Internet Explorer can't do that!
John is a Texan, born and raised. He grew up in Wichita Falls. In 2011, his career aspirations as a web developer called for something bigger. That is when he drove 285 miles south to Austin.
John consumes far more pizza than the average person.
I'm like the Wizard of Oz for websites.
In a perfect world, websites would neither break nor need updating and Austin would have subway system with complimentary breakfast tacos for the morning commute. As part of the maintenance team, James Stoney performs monthly quality assurance checks for larger clients and helps troubleshoot those unforeseen issues that may arise.
Duke of offbeat knowledge who has never met a stranger.
Born and raised on the border in a small Texas town famous for the Alamo Village and hunting, James Stoney left Brackettville to further his education at Texas A&M University. A B.S. of horticulture, a Master of landscape architecture, and 13 years later, he picked up and moved to Austin for a change in scenery.
I’m happiest when I’m in the kitchen cooking for friends and family. It is not uncommon to find me up all hours of the night brining turkeys, fire-roasting peppers, or making 20 gallons of soup in preparation for a party.
I love watching projects come together and being able to turn ideas and designs into working applications.
David grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in Evolutionary Anthropology. Although he never stepped foot in Texas prior to moving to Austin in 2012, the promise of queso and breakfast tacos made the move well worth the risk.
David is happiest without cell phone reception or wi-fi.
I love working with new clients and figuring out innovative ways to reach and surpass their goals.

Let’s break the internet.
Savannah's background in traditional media allows her to bring something different to the table when she's developing a design. She finds the web as a fascinating but also scary place, and worries that we might already be living in a Black Mirror scenario.
Gilmore Girls enthusiast who also enjoys the color yellow.
Savannah was born in San Antonio, Texas and was soon wearing one of those baby Spurs jerseys. After graduation, she decided to leave The Woodlands for something more (as in distance from her parents). Since 2013, she has called Austin her home.
I have a wide range of knowledge about TV shows, and IMDB might be my most used app (besides Twitter). I’m also terrified of birds. They’re scary y’all.
I keep things working and running smoothly.
Emmett handles development and maintenance for our clients. He works to make problems disappear before they've even surfaced. Whether it’s general site upkeep, quality assurance, or monthly maintenance, Emmett’s the guy behind the curtain taking care of business so our clients don’t have to.
A musician who enjoys camping. Can sometimes be found playing music while camping.
Emmett was born in Richardson, Texas but moved to Austin before he turned one. He considers himself a native Austinite, since he’s been here ever since.
I like to make music.
I’m here to demystify content creation for our clients and to determine the best ways to get results.
Nicole works with clients to implement effective and sound content marketing campaigns. She spends her days planning and implementing multiple editorial calendars on behalf of clients, optimizing copy for SEO, adapting content for different audiences and distribution channels, keeping up-to-date on digital marketing trends, and helping clients meet their digital marketing goals.
Do gooder who gets overly excited about making and crossing things off her bucket list.
Born and raised in Austin, Nicole headed to Washington, DC to explore life inside the Beltway. The lure of breakfast tacos and queso proved to be too strong to keep her there, so she soon returned to her hometown with her husband and crazy dog. She now spends her free time introducing her husband, son and a different crazy dog to her favorite spots and finding new places to explore.
Willing to assume an alter ego for charity arm wrestling competitions.
The internet is a crazy place that needs to have structure… and look pretty.
Luke started with a love for art that blossomed into a love for design. He graduated from Texas State with a major in Communication Design, and found his passion for interactive design in his last two semesters thanks to some amazing teachers that pushed design with a purpose.
Taco-Lovin' Car Enthusiast
Luke was born and raised in Austin, TX. Technically, he was raised in Manchaca (pronounced “Man-Chack”), but close enough.
Luke likes to drive sideways.
Hopefully the office won't catch on fire today.
Julie ensures that the office does not catch on fire or chaos does not break out. She keeps the office nice and tidy and waters the forest. She also manages and organizes client accounts and invoicing, and she handles and monitors client billing. She also helps out the other team members whenever help is needed!
Quite the chill person.
Julie was born and raised in Houston, TX for 18 years but moved to Austin, TX to attend UT Austin, and she received so much more than just a marketing degree. She gained many life-long relationships, became a food enthusiast, and has come to love the outdoors of Austin despite the killer heat.
Julie likes pickles, lemons, coffee, and fried chicken -- not all together, though.
